In 2018, CHANGES was launched as a new forum for provocative discourse and progressive thinking about the future of the contemporary music industry. The forum encompassed a two-day program showcasing thought leaders across music and tech, as well as hundreds of Victoria’s most inventive and exciting artists.

Never Now and Rick Milovanovic were asked to create a brand identity and system for the festival with an open brief and looming one week deadline. We devised a simple, flexible wordmark, typeset in Favorit by Dinamo, which flowed across collateral for the brand. A modular block letter ‘C’, was developed to supply a grid for street posters and the website, and to act as a logo. The colours and modular configuration of the C were designed to change as the brand activates to visually represent the word Changes.
